Summary :
Coronavirus is spreading in France and in Paris, despite mitigation measures. In this seminar, I will present a review of the scientific literature. The possibility of transmission of coronavirus through aerosols suspended in air is now widely accepted. Ventilation, i.e. bringing fresh air in a room, is a known way to remove aerosols. I will argue that a good ventilation is thus probably a very useful tool to stop the propagation of coronavirus. This is especially the case in areas where masks are not used, like canteens. I will present the CO2 sensor built at PMMH to check the quality of the ventilation in a room. I will show the results obtained with this sensor, including measurements at PMMH and in the public transports.
