The aim of my research is to develop a model in vitro of the pulmonar alveoli : a lung-on-a-chip. Combining microfabrication techniques with modern tissue engineering, it will offer a new in vitro approach to drug screening by mimicking the complicated mechanical and biochemical behaviors of a human lung. This new microfluidic device will be used to study the translocation of nanoparticles through the alveolar epithelium.
